Obituary for Faye Williams

Faye Doggett Williams, 83, passed from this Earth into her heavenly life on August 23, 2018.
Faye was born in Cleveland, OH on September 6, 1934 to Benjamin and Clara Doggett. She married Billy D. Williams, Sr. on July 11, 1953, and raised two children in Pascagoula, MS.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Billy D. Williams, Sr; parents, Benjamin and Clara Doggett; brothers, Benjamin Peirce, Donald Doggett, and Frank Doggett; along with sisters-in-law, Betty Doggett, Jo Doggett, and Patricia Doggett.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Donna (Noel) Lamey, and son, Billy (Carmen) Williams, Jr; grandchildren, Destiny (Jody) Dunn, Clare (Richard) Stegall, and Jason (Nora) Williams; great-grandchildren, Tully Dunn, Sophie Dunn, Lucy Jane Dunn, Ty Stegall, Sam Williams, and Kennedy Williams; brothers, Charles Doggett and Sidney (Jerre) Dogget, and sister-in-law, Margaret Smith; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a founding member of Faith United Methodist Church (originally Becky Bacot United Methodist) in Pascagoula, MS, where she spent many years as a Sunday school teacher, worked with the youth group, and was involved in the United Methodist Women’s group. She was an excellent cook, seamstress, and loved to crochet. She was a Den Mother for Cub Scout Pack 505, as well as a Gray Lady at Central Elementary in the 60’s. She spent many of her later years at the Pascagoula Senior Center where she enjoyed making pottery. Faye loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Kenny Springle officiating. Interment will be held at Boyles Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS at 3 p.m. on Monday, August 27, 2018.
