Obituary for Titus Earl McGlawn

Titus "Earl" McGlawn released his earthly body and gained his angel status on Thursday, March 14, 2019. While his passing was unexpected and heartbreaking, he would want us to celebrate his 63 years of life and rejoice with him on his eternal entrance into heaven. Earl LOVED life, NEVER met a stranger, and will FOREVER be remembered for his boisterous, full-of-life laugh! His love of music and ability to self-teach any instrument added to his joviality. He was our go-to guy, our Jack-of-all-trades, and showed up to fix whatever it was every time.
Reuniting with him as he entered heaven was his parents, Aubrey & Vera McGlawn, and two brothers, Lynn & Eddie McGlawn. Continuing to live his legacy and share his love for life is his FOREVER love and wife of 37 years, Celia Christyne McGlawn, and their four children: Travis McGlawn, Carlie (Angel) Russ-Forrest, Chandra Fore, & Jeffrey (Tonda) Russ. He adored his grandchildren: Dakota Russ, Tristian Russ, Paris Milton, Kyleigh Russ-Manning, Austen Russ, Cruz Russ-Williams, & soon-to-arrive Kamarrah Russ-Forrest. He was his brothers' keeper: Archie (Nancy) McGlawn & Charles "Bubba" (Charlotte) McGlawn. He touched the lives of so many others!
As per his wishes, there will be no home-going service. In lieu of time spent at a funeral home or money spent on flowers, he'd encourage you to spend that time and money to visit those you hold dear, call your friends, play outside with the children, listen to the music but not the words. End every phone call with an I LOVE YOU because that's what he did, and we're so thankful for those little things.
