Obituary for William Earl Yocom Sr.

William Earl Yocom Sr., 79, of Escatawpa, MS, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 17, 2017, in Moss Point, MS. William was born on July 3, 1938 in Mississippi to the late William and Dora Yocom. He was a devoted Christian throughout his life. He loved fishing, traveling, collecting antiques, making custom fishing lures, fishing corks, studying the Bible and most of all his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa M. Gillis and son in law, Earl Sanders.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Yocom; children, Wanda Gail Sanders, William Yocom Jr., and Sonya Renee Yocom; 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; brothers Denzil Miller, James Yocom and Sheldon Yocom; sisters Minnie Fulmer and Jessie Aldas, along with numerous other family members and friends.
Graveside services for William will be Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Community of Christ Cemetery on Wilson Springs Rd. in Escatawpa, MS beginning at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to the Community of Christ Church in Escatawpa, MS.
