Obituary for Elaine Mary LeBlanc

Elaine LeBlanc, 83, of Moss Point, MS was called home on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, to be reunited with the love of her life, constant companion, and soul mate, Jerry LeBlanc. She was born on January 12, 1935, in Biloxi, MS. She was the youngest child of the late George and Rebecca Otto. She married Jerry on August 20, 1961, in Biloxi. Their love for each other grew and God blessed them with three wonderful sons, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Elaine was a devout Catholic all her life and made God the center of her family. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Moss Point, and Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Pascagoula. Her greatest treasure was always the love of her family. She loved everyone and showed her affection with a big hug and let them know how much their friendship meant to her. She never met a stranger. Her faith in God and love for her family carried her through her entire life. “I can’t complain, God’s too good” and “You have a blessed day” were her words of humble bravery and gratitude to whomever she met.
Along with her parents and husband, Elaine was preceded in death by her sister, Toni Gray; and brothers, Norman Otto and Brother Joseph R. Otto, C.S.C. a brother of the Holy Cross Order.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving sons, Joseph (Inez) LeBlanc, Steven LeBlanc, Gary LeBlanc and special son Mark "Butch" (Reese) Rayner; special daughter, Lynn (Steven) Overman; her dear spiritual son, Father James Smith, grandchildren, David, Christopher, Katherine, Michelle, Taylor, Sidney, Caleb, Jillian, Gabby and Gavin; three great-grandchildren; sister, Lillie (Tony) Malone; brother, Antoine Otto; brother in law, Ronnie LeBlanc; cousin, Louise Ford; best friends, Billy and Connie Rayner; along with many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church, Pascagoula, MS. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. with Father James Smith and Father Tony Arguelles officiating. Entombment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula, MS. Pallbearers will be Katherine LeBlanc, Chris LeBlanc, Taylor LeBlanc, Sidney LeBlanc, Caleb LeBlanc and Mark Otto. Honarary pallbearers are David LeBlanc and Gavin Overman.
The family would like to especially acknowledge the dedication, support, compassion and love shown to them by Dr. Edgar Hull, Susan Day, RN, Dr. Brad Greenfield and the nurses and staff at Singing River Hospital, The Regional Cancer Center and Hospice of Light in Pascagoula and We Care Hospice, Moss Point.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be made in her name to St. Vincent de Paul Pharmacy, P.O. Box 1228 Biloxi, MS 39533, the local St. Vincent de Paul Society of East Jackson County, P.O. Box 369 Pascagoula, MS 39569 or the American Cancer Society. Heritage Funeral Home, locally owned and operated in Moss Point, MS is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
