Obituary for Douglas Edwin Knippers

Douglas Edwin Knippers, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother passed away February 17, 2018 at age 70 surrounded by his family. He proudly served his Country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War. He worked at Ingalls Shipbuilding in 35 dept. for 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Douglas Knippers and Ellie Mahaffey Knippers; brothers, Earnest Lee Mahaffey, Clarence Wayne Knippers and Felix Richard Knippers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Brenda Waltman Knippers; sons, Warren Knippers and Micheal Kippers; daughter, Ginger Knippers ; sister, Barbara Hamilton; 11 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren along with numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held Friday, February 23, 2018 from 10a.m. until 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa. The funeral service will begin at 11a.m. at the Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Lee and Bro. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson county Memorial Park in Pascagoula with Military Honors.
