Obituary for Charles "Chuck" Elbert Ryals

Charles “Chuck” Elbert Ryals, 66 of Hurley, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, November 8th, 2017 at Singing River Hospital. Chuck was born on November 3rd, 1951 in the state of Iowa.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charles (Sybil) Ryals, Betty (Gene) Bradt, his brother Richard Ryals and his beloved son Christopher Ryals.

He is survived by his soulmate, best friend and wife, Jeannette Ryals, daughter Amanda (Brandon) Edwards, son Brannan (Heaven)Hewlett, sister Sandra (Roy) Rogers, Mother-in-Law Loretta Howard, Sisters and Brothers-in-Laws Buck (Laura) Howard and Richard (Sheila)Howard, Grandchildren Jacob Hyatt, Presley and Bella Edwards and Dallas Hewlett and nieces and nephews.

Chuck graduated from Pascagoula High School, worked for forty five years for Ingalls Shipbuilding retiring as a Master Ship builder. His interest included bike riding, running, listening to Rock and Roll, being an avid LSU fan, golfing with his long time friends (Tommy and Doug), gambling and mostly spending time with his beloved wife, Jeannette.

Chuck was a shy, quiet, spiritual man with a hugh heart and a contagious smile. If you knew him, you loved him. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

His wishes were to be cremated with a small gathering of family to scatter his ashes. In his memory, please make donations to the American Heart Association.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the Singing River Hospital SICU employees and Dr. Quintana for their wonderful care during his final days. Also, Hertiage Funeral Home for their grace and compassion.
