Obituary for Brian Scott McLain

Brian Scott “Pooh Bear” McLain, 49, of Moss Point, MS, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, January 20, 2018 in Virginia. Scott was born on June 5, 1968 in Waynesboro, MS. He had a passion for weightlifting and sports, especially Alabama football. He was a lover of good food, had an incredible sense of humor and he loved all and was loved by all. He will be remembered for being a loving son, father, brother, uncle, and friend.
Scott was preceded in death by one nephew, Robert Brian Pierce.
He is survived by his sons, Tyler McLain and Dylan Thomas; parents, Hershel and Wanda McLain; sister, Lora (Mickey) Pierce; nieces and nephews, Stephanie (John) McIntire and their daughter, Sapphira, Michael (Jodi) Pierce, Elizabeth Pierce, and Nicholas Pierce; fiancee’, Jessica Beasley; along with numerous other family members and friends.
The visitation for Scott will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1302 Martin St., Pascagoula, MS 39567. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the church beginning at 12 noon with Bishop Stephen Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Moss Point, MS.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., FL. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
