Obituary for Bobbie Mae Gardner

Bobbie Mae Gardner, 73, of Lucedale, MS went to her heavenly home on Monday, September 11, 2017. She was born on December 4, 1943, in Pascagoula, MS to the late Oscar and Eva Mae Jones.

Along with her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Kay Gardner; four sisters and two brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 58 years, Larry Gene Gardner, Sr.; children, Kathy (Ray) Tucker and Larry Gene (Pamela) Gardner, Jr.; grandchildren, Kimberly Ulmer, Amanda Ulmer, Stephanie Cain, Kristyn English, Brent Martin, Chasity Smith, and Colton Byrd; fifteen great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Bobbie was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend, Larry Gene Gardner, Sr., on November 7, 1958 in Moss Point, MS. She was a homemaker who raised her children with love, patience, grace, and humility. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, traveling, and watching the colors change of each season. Spending time with her family is what she loved the most. Her devotion to her family and her unwavering belief in God supported her and ultimately gave her peace.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Point/Escatawpa, MS from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Graveside service will immediately follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Lucedale, MS.
