Obituary for Allen Jerry Tucker

June 30, 1944 - May 26, 2018
Allen passed away in Mobile, Alabama from injuries suffered in a vehicle crash. He served proudly in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict, earning many awards and accommodations. If you needed help in any way, he was there smiling warmly with a funny story to lighten the mood. Three passions close to Allen’s heart were: The American Flag, bald eagles, and John Wayne. The John Wayne Museum does not have that much memorabilia compared to his collection. And when I see you again, we will talk about the 1,200 pound concrete eagle you left for me to move.
Allen was born in Canton, MS to the late William L. Tucker and Mary L. (Boyd) Tucker. He is survived by his sons, Vincent Dawayne Tucker, Arlie Rushing, and Bobby Lee Rushing; daughter, Karen Renea Hall; and brother, William D. Tucker. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; fiancée, Katherine Hosford; brother-in-law, Larry Davis; and special friend, Richard Jr. He was preceded by wife, Arlen F. Tucker (Davis) and brother, Hilton L. Tucker. Rest easy, Soldier.
Visitation will be Friday, June 8, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services with Military Honors will follow at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula, MS.
